Frequently Asked Questions
Safara Sisters stands out from traditional tour agencies by offering a unique blend of sisterhood, adventure, and support. While typical group tours may focus solely on seeing as many sights as you can in a day, our trips are designed to be immersive and adventurous, but also fairly unstructured and relaxed, allowing flexibility and time to bond and explore our destinations together in a safe and supportive environment.
At Safara Sisters, we meticulously design each travel experience as if it were our own, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable journey for both new and experienced travellers. Our tailored offerings feature handpicked itineraries, activities, accommodations, transportation, and one or several meals. Plus, rest assured, at least one Safara Sisters host will be present on every trip, guaranteeing personalized care and attention throughout your adventure.
What sets us apart also is our emphasis on having each other’s backs as a group – whether it’s trying new experiences, navigating unfamiliar destinations, or simply providing support and encouragement along the way. From halal-friendly accommodations to shared moments of prayer and reflection, our trips are crafted to cater for faith-friendly adventures, ensuring a memorable and enriching travel experience.

For each trip, we specify the level of accommodation provided. Our accommodations typically exceed the average standard and aim to offer a local experience while ensuring comfort and essential amenities for our guests.
Most of our accommodations are based on twin share, meaning that the trip price is calculated based on two people sharing a room. For solo travelers, don’t worry! We’ll pair you up with another Safara Sister for the duration of the trip.
On some trips, single supplements are available, allowing solo travelers the option to have a single room for themselves at an extra cost. Please note that single supplements are subject to availability. Be sure to check each trip details for availability and pricing information.
The number of meals included on each trip are on the website of each trip. Our travel experience also emphasizes local cuisine, where we carefully select typical dishes to showcase the culture of each destination.
While we strive to provide halal food options, it’s important to note that not all countries we visit may offer these options. However, rest assured, we always ensure that fish or vegetarian alternatives are available to accommodate dietary preferences.
Please notify us of specific dietary requirements at the time of booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
We aim to create vibrant and engaging group dynamics by keeping our group trips to between 10 to 15 people. This ensures a lively and interesting atmosphere where participants have the opportunity to make new friends and forge meaningful connections throughout the journey.
While any women above the age of 18 are welcome on our group trips, Safara Sisters group trips are primarily designed for women in their late 20s to 50s, as we strive to provide a tailored and enriching travel experience for this demographic in particular.

Being Muslim travelers ourselves, our trips are designed with Muslim women in mind – however we welcome travelers of all faith backgrounds who are respectful of Islamic practice and values, and who would like to learn more about Islamic heritage, history and cultures!
At Safara Sisters, our priority is creating a safe and empowering space for all women in our groups, both physically and emotionally. We kindly request that all trip participants engage in an orientation discussion about photo and video sharing, indicating whether they are comfortable with their picture being taken or not. We understand and respect that some individuals may prefer not to be photographed or recorded, and we honor their wishes accordingly. This extends to interactions with locals and strangers encountered during our trips – it’s essential to seek permission before taking photos or videos. Please contact us for our policy on drone usage on our group trips.
All prices are in USD ($USD) unless otherwise stated.
